Shree Thodakukkinar Swami Temple, located in Kananthoor, Balepuni village of Ullala taluk in Dakshina Kannada, is an ancient and revered temple with a history spanning over 800 years. Nestled in natural beauty, it is dedicated to Swami Thodakukkinar and also worships other Daivas like Shree Ullalthi, Shree Bantajavade, and Durgalaya. In 1886, a German named Re. A. Myanar visited the temple and was inspired by its sacred songs (Pardhanas), leading him to write the book Padhaanaolu. Every April/May, a five-day religious and cultural event attracts devotees from various places, with Shree Ullalthi Daiva Nema held on the third day. Special offerings are made during festivals like Deepavali, Navarathri, and Sankramana.

ಶ್ರೀ ತೋಡಕುಕ್ಕಿನಾರ್ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಉಲ್ಲಾಲ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಬಾಳೆಪುಣಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಕಣಂತೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಪುರಾತನ ಹಾಗೂ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ದೇವಾಲಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಮಾರು 800ಕ್ಕೂ ಅಧಿಕ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸವಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯದ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಸ್ಥಿತವಾಗಿರುವ ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯ ಶ್ರೀ ತೋಡಕುಕ್ಕಿನಾರ್ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಶ್ರೀ ಉಳ್ಳಾಲ್ತಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಬಂಟಜವಾದೆ ಮತ್ತು ದುರ್ಗಾಲಯ ದೈವಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪೂಜಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. 1886ರಲ್ಲಿ, ರೆ. ಎ. ಮ್ಯಾನರ್ ಎಂಬ ಜರ್ಮನ್ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಡುವ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಪಾರ್ದನ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಪ್ರೇರಿತರಾಗಿ ಪಾರ್ದನೊಳು ಎಂಬ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಬರೆದರು. ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್/ಮೇ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ದಿನಗಳ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತವೆ. ಮೂರನೇ ದಿನದಂದು ಶ್ರೀ ಉಳ್ಳಾಲ್ತಿ ದೈವ ನೇಮ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ದೀಪಾವಳಿ, ನವರಾತ್ರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಕ್ರಮಣದಂತಹ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಪೂಜೆಗಳು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತವೆ.
